Electrical Engineer
Position Summary
The candidate will be required to assist with Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews on industrial machinery, evaluate machine safety circuits, and also to design control systems and program PLC's and HMI's. Please submit salary expectations with your application.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (electrical, controls, systems, computer).
- Experience with discrete industrial machinery and safety circuits.
- Familiar with control reliable safety circuits (Cat III/IV).
- Familiar with working safely around machinery
- Strong ability to write well organized technical reports.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal.
- Customer Focus.
- Self-starter.
- Personal spark, willingness and ability to learn.
- Accountable.
- Able to follow direction.
- AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical)
- Strong computer skills.
- G driver’s license.
Other Assets
- Safety PLC programming.
- Robot programming.
- AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with Ontario Health and Safety Act Section 7, and CSA Z432, Z434, Z142 and ISO standards.
- Familiarity with CNC, robots, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Location
Mississauga, Canada. The initial training will be held in the Guelph office.
