Position Summary

ZCS is looking for an experienced full-time Operations Manager to work from our Guelph and Mississauga Office. 

The Role:

As an operations manager you will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations.

  • Manage a cross functional team of engineers, technicians, designers, electricians.
  • Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure projects are executed in an efficient manner meeting both cost and timing constraints.
  • Track and forecast operational trends and analysis and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Provide daily operations oversight to senior management.
  • Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations.

What you can expect if you’re contacted for an interview:

You will be requested to visit our Guelph office for an interview with members of our senior management team. You will be asked technical/non-technical questions to determine your proficiency in the requested qualifications. The entire process can take from thirty minutes to an hour, so please account for being in Guelph for that much time.

Position Summary

ZCS is looking for an experienced full-time Licensed Industrial Electrician for their Guelph office. The position requires installation, repair and troubleshooting of industrial electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:

Some of this position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation, examination and/or repair of electrical wiring and other electrical components (such as conduits, feeders, receptacles, switch boxes etc.) to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards Act;
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and electrical code specifications;
  • Design control systems and safety circuits;
  • Program PLC's and HMI's; 
  • Assist with the process in Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews (PHSRs) and evaluate machine safety circuits. 

Requirements:

  • Licensed Electrician (309A);
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience;
  • Familiarity with:
    • Control reliable safety circuits (CAT III/IV);
    • Safety PLC programming (AB, Omron, Pilz etc.); 
    • Robot programming; 
    • AutoCAD Electrical;
    • Ontario Health and Safety Act Section 7, and CSA Z432, Z434 and Z142;
    • CNC, robots, pneumatics, hydraulic controls.
  • Fluent English; and
  • Drivers License G (clean record).

Position Summary:

ZCS is looking for an individual with excellent multi-tasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while also ensuring that our clients’ needs are met satisfactorily at the earliest and most efficient way possible.

Responsibilities:

Some of this position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously with team members and clients;
  • Developing an understanding of the clients’ requirements and gathering all documents/information required for projects prior to startup;
  • Scheduling site visits and organising the schedules of multiple team members to ensure the best use of their time;
  • Proactively ensuring all internal and external timelines are being adhered to for each project and provide constant updates to clients;
  • Monitoring progress of multiple projects on a daily basis and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner;
  • Dealing with various vendors to ensure stocks are well maintained; and
  • Regular reporting of project status to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Project Management Certification;
  • Engineering/Technical degree preferred;
  • 3 years minimum in project management role;
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing environment and automated machinery;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Proficient with Auto CAD and SolidWorks is an asset;
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean record.

Position Summary

ZCS is looking for a qualified professional to become a part of their Electrical Engineering team, supporting installations and modifications. The position involves establishing and following upon project implementation (including, but not limited to, timing, concept, feasibility design, specifications, construction and commissioning). Additionally, the position requires participation in developing controls, drawing and design concepts and dealing with various vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in meetings with the team to plan upcoming activities and to update ongoing projects.
  • Ensure new and rebuild equipment have all features required by CSA, OSHA, and Electrical Safety Code.
  • Plan assigned work in an efficient method to minimize machine downtime.
  • Ensure employee safety is maintained at all times.
  • Perform Safety PLC and program backup periodically.
  • Troubleshoot machine safety problems.
  • Perform regular housekeeping duties and,
  • Complete onsite installation and commissioning.

Requirements

  • 3 years program in Electrical or Mechanical Technology.
  • Electronics Technician/Technologist Certificate, Electrician Qualification, or equivalent.
  • Trade license in Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
  • Assess suitability of new equipment needed for installations and repairs.
  • Ability to provide technical support and services to engineers.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Advanced safety PLC programming including Sick and Omron.
    • Computer networking, Ethernet connections, TCP/IP protocol.
